Lunchtime Concerts at ACM: Mixed Strings

We've got our basses covered! A special concert featuring soloists performing their favourite pieces on the violin, viola, cello, and double bass.

This week's concert features Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E Minor, Larsson's Concertino for Double Bass, Franck's Cello Sonata in A Major, and many more. 


Each concert begins at 12.30pm, lasts for about an hour, and is suitable for all over the age of 4. Grab lunch at Privé ACM or Empress before or after the concert.

About the Conservatory's String department

Headed by Professor Qian Zhou, the strings programme has a reputation as one of the best in the world, with a dynamic calendar of high quality performances, complemented by frequent masterclasses by top visiting artists. Students from the department are regularly accepted in major festivals and competitions around the world.
