Lunchtime Concerts at ACM: Jazz

Put on your dancing shoes and sway to swing beats as Singapore jazz legend Dr Tony Makarome leads students into some groovin' lunchtime jazz.

Each concert begins at 12.30pm, lasts for about an hour, and is suitable for all over the age of 4. Grab lunch at Privé ACM or Empress before or after the concert.


About Dr Tony Makarome

Conductor, composer, and bassist Dr Tony Makarome is an Associate Professor at the YSTCM. As a bassist, he has performed with Louis Bellson, Charlie Haden's Liberation Orchestra, and Quartet West. A superb teacher of solfeggio and jazz, he served as an award-winning teacher at Walden School (USA). Current projects include Esplanade's "Mozaic Jazz Fellows" and a musicianship course for National Arts Council.
